What If i Need To Edit/Cancel My Reservation

You can edit/modify your Pay Later reservation directly from our Home page or the in the Help Center. Please note that modifying your reservation may result in a change to your rental rate. United PrePaid reservations cannot be changed or modified.

What If I’m Running Late

• If you are late picking up your reservation: United Pay Later reservations will be honored for 3 hours after the confirmed pick up date and time. United PrePaid reservations will be honored for 12 hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

• If you are late at return: United offers a 59-minute grace period when returning a vehicle. If you return more than 59 minutes late, the rate will increase by your extra day rate when booked the reservation.

• If you need to keep the car longer than originally scheduled, you need to request a rental extension by calling to our office- extension is subject to availability.

What If I Run Out Of Gas?

Customer is fully responsible. If your car runs out of gas, you may use your own Roadside Assistance or contact United Roadside Assistance for help. If you have not purchased United Roadside Assistance at the time of pick up, you may be charged if service is sent out to help. What is the policy regarding fuel use for United Rentals? Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.

What Are The Credit Card ANd Debit Card Policies For ‘PayNow’?

All United Pay Now reservations are non-refundable. If you cancel your United Pay Now reservation, you will forfeit the full amount of your reservation payment. 2. At the time of pick-up, you must present the same credit card/debit card which was used to pay for your United Pay Now reservation. If the card you used to book your United Pay Now reservation is lost, stolen, or replaced by the card issuer and cannot be presented at the time of rental, you will have to process your reservation at the rental counter, and United will waive the cancellation fee at the time of pick up.

SECURITY DEPOSIT United applies a deposit to your card at the time you complete your booking. You authorize us to apply this deposit against your card to guarantee rental charges and, in the event that you have additional fees or charges due, you hereby authorize us to apply funds you have on deposit with us against what you owe to United. The charge will be refunded when your rental has been completed. Security deposit is USD/250.00 when using a major credit card and USD/400.00 when using a debit card.

How Can I Pay For My Rental?

  1.  The credit card must have the available funds for the estimated amount of rental charges, plus a deposit of USD/250.00.
  2.  Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after the vehicle is returned. Due to bank processing, a return of funds can take between 2 to 5 business days to appear in the Customers account when using this form of payment.
  3.  The address stated on the Renters valid Drivers License will be referenced to determine the Renters primary residence. The renter’s name and photo must match the name on the contract and person at the counter.
  4.  The Debit Card must have a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover logo.
  5.  Renter must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  6.  Must present round-trip airline ticket at time of pick-up

How Do I Cancel An Existing Reservation ?

Only reservations completed on the United website or directly with United Rent A Car via phone or reservations department can be cancelled through United. All 3rd party reservations must be cancelled at their original source of booking. Charges may apply depending on the type of reservation made or source of booking.
